Womenswear chain Coast has appointed Kate Bostock, who last month resigned from her role as executive director of buying and merchandising for Asos, as chief executive officer.
The former Marks and Spencer executive director for general merchandise will begin her new role in September and will be working closely with Derek Lovelock, Coast’s chairman, and the senior management team.
Kate Bostock says, “I am thrilled to be joining Coast, a brand that I love. It has a unique proposition with huge potential for the future both in the UK and internationally, as well as a very successful online channel. I see a real opportunity to broaden the brand’s offering to appeal to women of all ages who want to find the perfect outfit for any occasion.”
