Top Names Line Up for ECMOD, the UK's Leading Catalogue and Online Retail Conference and Exhibition

Tuesday, 3 August 2010

Some of the biggest names in the catalogue and online retail world are to gather in London for ECMOD2010, the leading conference and exhibition for the multi-channel sector.

ECMOD2010 takes place on October 6th and 7th at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, and features over 30 insightful conference sessions with more than 50 top speakers. Experts from a number of major companies have been lined up, including Toast, Ann Summers, Screwfix, Scotts & Co, Direct Wines, Thompson & Morgan, Shop Direct, Joseph Turner, Regatta and Cotswold Company.

Headlining this year’s conference is Johnnie Boden, household name and founder of the multi-million pound clothing brand and lifestyle, Boden. In a rare live interview Johnnie will discuss his journey from the very beginning, looking at the strategies and successes which have seen him through the past twenty years.

The ECMOD conference covers a vast range of topics geared towards helping all business-to-business and business-to-consumer catalogue and multi-channel merchants optimise their business performance.

An extensive list of sessions will take place across the two days, focusing on issues including social media, online marketing strategies, international commerce, online retail trends, developing iconic brands, and much more.

An impressive list of speakers include:

  • Dave Chaffey of Smart Insights, who will be sharing his expertise on e-commerce and e-marketing with a session on using Google Analytics to improve results.
  • David Ballard will be among a number of speakers jetting in from the United States to chair a discussion which asks what the US market is really like for UK cataloguers.
  • Kevin Hillstrom, president of US consultancy MineThatData, will host a session on how businesses can exploit sophisticated data mining techniques to achieve higher response and increased average order values.
  • Toast managing director Jessica Seaton, and Kristine Kirby, e-commerce and multi-channel marketing director at Monsoon Accessorize, will be among the panellists at a session looking at developing iconic brands.
  • Charlie Osmond of FreshNetworks, and Naomi Paget of TM Lewin, will show delegates how to integrate social media into their digital marketing plan.

This year’s ECMOD event is tipped to be the best ever as 2010 marks the show’s 20th anniversary. The exhibition, which also takes place on October 6th and 7th, features dozens of specialist suppliers serving catalogue, online and multi-channel sellers. Companies who’ve already snapped up their stands include Adestra, Mohn Media, Abacus, Sanderson, Swiss Post, Dydacomp and TA Design.

ECMOD founder and organiser Jane Revell-Higgins, said: "This year we have a conference that addresses the current key issues whilst simultanously offering inspirational insights into what differentiates highly successful businesses. With great home grown speakers joined by highly respected US experts, it promises to deliver an exceptional high return on investment for all who attend."
